New Home

My 90 year old aunt has recently moved into sheltered accommodation, following a bad fall a few months ago, when she broke her hip.  Here is the card I made for her today.
I used a Woodware house punch to punch snippets of different coloured card and arranged the houses in a line along a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die cut.  My inspiration came from the Lawnscaping Challenge, 'COLOR, inspired by the rainbow' and the photo below I took recently by the harbour in the city centre where I live, where there are a row of houses in all the colours of the rainbow!

For those people who read my post HERE about the Shaun the Sheep trail, my daughter and I finally found the last of the 70 Shauns in Bristol yesterday.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. Cute card, and I can definitely see how it was inspired by the harbor photo. Oh, and I love rainbow Shaun, too. Congrats on finding all 70 statues!

  13. Love this card. It is so Clean and Simple, but really catches the eye. The photo of colourful houses reminds me of my holiday in Ireland a couple of years ago. There was a street in Clonakilty just like that, and we were hunting for Elephants instead of Shaun the sheep, but we weren´t there long enough to find them all. Kate x

  16. I love the pretty rainbow colour houses on your card and also love that view which we have seen quite a few times! Did you see the Grommits two or three years ago? What fun! x

    1. We saw a few Gromits a couple of years ago, but not very many. The Shauns were in London when we were there in April. I bought the app and it suddenly got very addictive, checking off each one as we found it. I found all 50 in London, so as the app included all 70 in Bristol, I knew I'd have to find them too. 120 different ones in total! xx
